This project explores the intimate and often overlooked interaction between humans and an ordinary bedroom chair—a piece of furniture that frequently becomes a catch-all for clothing and other belongings. Using Arduino and motors, we transformed this everyday object into an interactive entity with its own personality. The chair reacts dynamically to its environment, expressing itself through subtle movements or playful gestures, inviting users to engage with it beyond its utilitarian function. By anthropomorphizing this familiar object, the project investigates how design can foster emotional connections with inanimate items, reimagining the role of furniture in our daily lives. Through this, we aim to deepen the dialogue between humans and the designed objects that surround them.
